VASCage GmbH is a research center with a focus on vascular ageing and stroke. With a strong team of internationally recognized experts, we develop new strategies and products for healthy blood vessels. We improve prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation.
Within the framework of the “Mitochondrial functional diagnostics” project in cooperation with Oroboros Instruments, a quality system according to ISO 15189 will be established. In your role as Quality Manager you will be responsible for setting up, coordinating and organizing the quality management system.
Your tasks include:
- Establishing and expanding our quality management and auditing system
- Helping shape the company’s processes
- Assuming responsibility for implemented processes
- Creation, maintenance and training of SOPs in compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in quality management – preferably in the medical diagnostic field
- Relevant studies/degree in the field of quality management or corresponding certificate
- Communicative personality
- Very good English and German language skills
- Distinct ability to work in a team

To expand our team, we are looking to fill the event coordinator position (20 hours/week) as soon as possible:
Your tasks contain:
- International O2k-Workshops (at the client’s side) and attendance at conventions/conferences:
- Coordination of travel within the team liaising between Sales Athletes, Communication Ninjas and Bioenergetics Adventurers.
- Travel organization (flight, train, rental car and hotel bookings, visa applications)
- Preparation of PR-materials and exhibitor equipment
- Control of travel expense claims, partly for nationally/internationally funded projects
- Organization of our national O2k-Workshops, O2k-Coaching days and virtual installation sessions:
- Registration of participants
- Preparation of materials
- Organization and handling of catering
- Coordination with our Bioenergetics Adventurers
- Invoicing
- Management of PR materials (orders, stock)
Your skills:
- Successful completion of school (A-level), ideally in business and commerce (HAK/HBLA), or several years of relevant experience
- Excellent written and verbal skills in English and German (international experience is an advantage)
- Proficiency in MS Office

Ensuring the excellent quality of our daily work in the Oroboros O2k-Laboratory your tasks contain:
- Cell culture and sample preparation, production of buffers, chemicals and media.
- Quality Control of the O2k-FluoRespirometer, NextGen-O2k and other devices
- Ordering and stock maintenance
- Respirometry measurements with various biological samples as well as measurements of further mitochondrial parameters (ROS production, mt-membrane potential, ATP production, Ca2+, CoQ and NAD(P)H redox states, photobiology) by high-resolution respirometry in combination with fluorescence and redox measurements.
- Analytical measurements on biological samples: Cell count, protein content, spectrophotometric determination of enzyme activities
- Application, evaluation and development of protocols in our on-going research projects, software testing
- Data analysis
- Administrative tasks in the laboratory, e.g. coordination of the use of instruments
- Technical customer support
- O2k-Workshops (remote and on-site)
- Maintaining equipment records and work logs
Requirements:
- Completed training as lab technician or alternatively completed a university degree in biological sciences with lab experience
- Open-minded, creative and motivated personality with a proactive approach
- Strong organizational and communication skills

- Individual customer account management
- Day-to-day business: quotes and order processing, invoicing, administrative handling of national and international shipping processes as well as repairs/services
- Database management and controlling
- Supporting the implementation of the ERP system
Your skills:

Preferentially a postdoc with experimental experience in mitochondrial physiology and high-resolution respirometry – applications are welcome from the Oroboros O2k-Network
In the heart of Innsbruck is the Oroboros O2k-Laboratory with the newest O2k-MultiSensor Modules and the NextGen-O2k configuration available for research and biomedical applications, providing the basis of high-output in high-resolution respirometry. This could be your new place of work as an Oroboros Postdoc, where you would join a scientifically oriented team.
