Ensuring the excellent quality of our daily work in the Oroboros O2k-Laboratory your tasks contain:

  • Respirometry measurements with various biological samples as well as measurements of further mitochondrial parameters (ROS production, mt-membrane potential, ATP production, Ca2+) by high-resolution respirometry in combination with fluorescence measurements.
  • Blood draws
  • Analytical measurements on biological samples: Cell count, protein content, spectrophotometric determination of enzyme activities
  • Application, evaluation and development of protocols – e.g. in the NextGen-O2k project
  • Cell culture and sample preparation, production of buffers, chemicals and media.
  • Quality Control of the O2k-FluoRespirometer
  • Administrative tasks in the laboratory

Your skills:

  • Completed training as a biomedical assistant (including phlebotomy) – equivalent to Austrian Biomedizinische_r Assistent_In
  • Proficiency in English
  • Pro-active approach

We offer:

A 38.5 hours/week position with a diverse area of responsibility allowing for professional development and growth. The successful candidate will be joining an engaged and friendly team accompanied by a competitive performance-based salary (based on the collective agreement for Angestellte und Lehrlinge in Handelsbetrieben with additional pay according to qualifications, minimum salary EUR 32,200.- gross/year).

  • Daily operations including generating quotes and invoicing, shipping, chasing payments, handling of repairs, and general filing
  • Support international customers, almost exclusively in English
  • Collaborate with sales and R&D teams within the company, and with external business partners (production, shipping)
  • Purchasing
  • Actively participate in the documentation on wiki-based company websites
  • Maintain and update customer records

Your profile:

  • School-leaving qualification in business administration, corresponding professional experience is an advantage
  • Excellent written and verbal skills in English and German
  • Interest in the natural science/life science field
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite

A 38.5 hours/week position with a diverse area of responsibility allowing for professional development and growth.
