To expand our team, we are looking to fill the position of a Graphic Design & IT Specialist as soon as possible.

Responsibilities:

Graphic, media and web design:

  • Design print and digital media such as logos, info graphics, leaflets, etc.
  • Continue and develop our existing Corporate Design environment
  • Create graphics for social media and newsletters
  • Design advertising materials and merchandising products
  • Design/optimize websites (UI/UX design, wiki and WordPress-based)

Photo and video:

  • Plan and implement production of photos and videos (e.g., Oroboros Videosupport)
  • Process photos, retouch and perform color adjustments, edit videos and animations

IT:

  • Manage our IT infrastructure together with an IT partner firm
  • Solve IT problems (first-level support) for our employees
  • Set up AI-based GPTs for workflow automation and support the implementation of AI into our business processes

Your profile:

  • Practiced use of MS Office 365 (Power User) and common graphic design applications of the Adobe Creative Suite
  • Strong IT user knowledge and experience with operating systems, Windows 10 and newer, user administration, software and hardware set-up
  • Experience with MediaWiki-based websites and applications is advantageous (wiki.oroboros.at, bioblast.at)
  • Very good written and spoken English skills, German skills are advantageous
  • Experience with implementing AI tools in diverse areas
  • Knowledge about setting up AI-based GPTs for workflow automation is advantageous
  • Meticulous work ethics, attention to detail, keen eye for design, ability to work in a team, interest in technology, problem-solving skills, creativity
  • Dedication to your every-day work

VASCage GmbH is a research centre with a focus on clinical stroke research. With a strong team of internationally recognised experts, we develop new strategies and products for prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of stroke. Our project „Functional Mitochondrial Diagnostics “ aims to develop protocols and quality management for high-resolution respirometry measurements as a diagnostic service. In your role as Technician you will collaborate closely with Oroboros Instruments GmbH. 

Responsibilities:

  • Respirometry measurements with HEK293 T cells and PBMCs by high-resolution respirometry
  • Analytical measurements on biological samples: Cell count, protein content, spectrophotometric determination of enzyme activities
  • Application, evaluation and development of protocols, software testing
  • Data analysis
  • Cell culture and sample preparation, production of buffers, chemicals and media
  • Quality Control of instruments
  • Ordering and stock maintenance
  • Maintaining equipment records and work logs

Requirements:

  • Completed training as lab technician or alternatively completed a university degree in biological sciences with lab experience
  • Open-minded, creative and motivated personality with a proactive approach
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Self-reliant & attention to detail and careful working method
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & Teamwork
  • Proficiency in English
