The O2k-Workshops IOC55 and 56 take place in Schröcken, Vorarlberg, Austria (http://www.tiscover.at/schroecken), in Hotel Körbersee (accomodation, meals, lectures and lab work). During lunch breaks, sufficient time is available for skiing, relaxing walks and talks, to enjoy the refreshing scenery of the alpine environment.

Accommodation (5 nights) includes single room, full board, coffee breaks and transfer from Bregenz to Schröcken/Hotel Körbersee, in two different categories:
Rooms equipped with washbasins. Bathrooms and showers are located on every floor. Access to the Wellness area at extra charge.
Rooms equipped with shower and separate bathroom, satellite TV and internet access. Free access to Wellness area.

Winter

Depending on the snow conditions, the skiing season is scheduled in the skiing area from December 8 to end of Easter. Hotel Körbersee is situated in the Salober skiing area, with a skiing lift a few footsteps from the hotel. Hotel Körbersee is not accessible by car, but by skies or along a footpath from the base of the Salober skiing area.
For the afternoon after 12:30, the skiing pass is EURO 22.50 for the skiing lifts of Schröcken and Warth. There is also excellent cross-country skiing with free skiing tracks around lakes Körbersee (starting at the hotel) and Kalbelesee, as well as easy walking in magnificent winter scenery. Ski rental is available at the skiing lift Salober. Top ski (+boots) is Euro 16.- (+7.-; 1 day), 30.- (+12.-; 2 days), 42.- (+17.-; 3 days) or 52.- (+22.-; 4 days).
Bus trips are free from Schröcken to the skiing area of Salober, leaving at 12:11 at Hotel Tannberg. You can return to Schröcken by skiing (depending on snow conditions) or by the free bus (leaving 15:30 at Salober). Please consider: prices and timetables may be subject to change!
Summer

Summer temperatures in the alpine village of Schroecken are pleasantly warm, but may be chilly on rainy days in the alps. Sunshine may be strong – bring sunglasses and sunscreen. Protect yourself against wind and rain. For hiking, bring good mountain boots.
Walks & Talks may include rock climbing, hiking, swimming in an alpine lake, canyoning, or the adventure park.
